Cornish Piskies

This illustration was created for the month of November as part of a Cornish folklore themed calendar competition. Cornish Piskies are small folk that can be helpful or mischevious and are known for leading travellers astray. Their history is deeply linked to the Cornish landscape and its history. I have dipicted a Piskie flying on a Chough, a bird which is symbolic to Cornwall. You can also spot other clues to Cornwall such as an old tin mine.
