This illustration was inspired by the poem ‘Goblin Market’ by Christina Rossetti. I used the poem as a starting point to create a stylised promotional piece aimed at a younger audience. I love the folkloric quality of the poem and wanted to portray a magical fairy-tale atmosphere.
